ICSE Is Not Difficult, You Just Need A Great Teacher!

Education helps people become better citizens and get better-paid jobs. It shows the importance of hard work and allows us to grow and develop. It turns our weaknesses into strengths and offers different tools to understand our problem and resolve it. For the entire world to become equal, it needs to start with education. If everyone were provided with the same educational opportunities, there would be fewer gaps between social classes. So, to provide quality education, different boards are there in a country. These boards are CBSE Board, ICSE Boards, SSC Boards, UP Boards, and many more. The marking scheme in ICSE is index number and in CBSE is the grading system.

ICSE full-form

The full form of ICSE is the Indian Certification of Secondary Education, which is a private board whose office is in New Delhi. It was set up in 1958 to replace Cambridge Education to conduct exams in the English medium. It performs the ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 board exams every year. The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education is designed to provide an exam through the English medium.

About ICSE Board

The ICSE Board is a board that focuses on a student’s overall growth, providing a balanced curriculum to all its learners. Only the regular students are allowed to appear in this examination, and private students are not allowed. There are over 3,500 schools that are affiliated with the Boards and recognized as a ‘Non-Governmental Board of School Education. The future education policies were prepared under the aegis of Cambridge University.

Which is better CBSE or ICSE

CBSE syllabus is more on the theoretical concepts and ICSE focuses on practical knowledge. CBSE focuses on Science and Mathematics while ICSE Board gives equal importance to other subject streams, including Art, Language, Science, Mathematics, and even Humanities. The CBSE board has a well-maintained and easy syllabus that gives subject matter in a very light way.

CBSE offers a compact syllabus with fewer subjects to study whereas ICSE offers a range of languages to study, including Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and others. ICSE boards give more emphasis to the English language as the medium of instruction while the CBSE board doesn’t prefer any language. CBSE offers an alphabetical grading system while ICSE evaluates its students in the form of a score.

Most parents prefer to take their children for 12th only if they have previously done the `1-10 under CBSE board itself. However, if you do get in, competitive exams become easier for you, as the focus of the CBSE board is to give a strong foundation. Now, with ICSE on the other hand, the focus is more on project and lab work, this is the reason why 20% of the marks allotted are from internal assessment. Meanwhile, the curriculum also differs in that the CBSE curriculum is more organized and goes in a flow, while the ICSE syllabus is focused and more on details and application-based learning.

What is the index number in ICSE?

Index number in boards is a seven-digit unique identification code that will be given to the students appearing for their ISC and ICSE exams. This ID code will remain with them for life. This enables them to get documents like duplicate mark-sheet, etc, without difficulty from this year onwards. If a Class 10 student moves to another school after Class, the code will help him/her to get his documents directly from the Council within a few days. Students don’t need to contact the school for everything, the number will help them get things done on their own.

ICSE Exams 2022

Exams mostly start in February and get finished before Holi. Their way of taking exams is different. In science and social science, every stream is treated individually and exams are held according to that. After every paper there is a gap of a minimum of three days, then the next paper is held. This type of system is unique and in this, the student gets time to revise and give this hundred percent.

ICSE exam question paper is a balance of objective and subjective questions. ICSE has provided students with the option of choosing one subject from a group of skill-based subjects for the final term exams.

There is much humor that ICSE Board is difficult, that’s not so. That depends on the teacher and the student. If the teacher is good and the student is co-operative, then the subject is very easy. Therefore, the role of the teacher is essential in all the sectors, in the departments, and all the boards.
